Webform Settings

Princeton Site Builder offers many configuration options to customize and configure your webform. Below are some useful highlights. We encourage you to explore the many options in your Testing Environment.

Settings » General

In this section you can:

  • Archive old webforms.
  • Close webforms and make them unavailable.
  • Disable saving of submissions
  • Manage Security Settings
    • All webforms use Honeypot (rather than CAPTCHA) to help prevent spam

Settings » Form

In this section you can:

  • Set a form as open, closed, or scheduled.
  • Customize an access denied message.
  • Configure a form progress bar (ie form wizard)
  • Add a page for previewing the webform before submitting.

Settings » Submissions

In this section you can:

  • Limit the number of submissions allowed per webform and/or per user.
  • Submission Draft Settings Allow your users to save and finish the webform later.
  • Configure if and when submissions are purged from the database.
  • Customize the number of submissions allowed per user and/or per webform.

Settings » Confirmation

In this section you can select a Confirmation type:

  •  Page (redirects to new page and displays the confirmation message)
  •  Inline (reloads the current page and replaces the webform with the confirmation message)
  •  Message (reloads the current page/form and displays the confirmation message at the top of the page)
  •  Modal (reloads the current page/form and displays the confirmation message in a modal dialog)
  •  URL (redirects to a custom path or URL)
  •  URL with message (redirects to a custom path or URL and displays the confirmation message at the top of the page)
  •  None (reloads the current page and does not display a confirmation message)
  •  Display confirmation when submission is updated?

Settings » Emails/Handlers

In this section you can configure:

  • Previewing and resending emails
  • Sending HTML emails
  • File attachments
  • HTML and plain-text email-friendly templates
  • Customizable display formats for individual form elements

Settings » Access

In this section you can set user access to: 

  • View any submissions
  • Update any submissions
  • Delete any submissions
  • Purge any submissions
  • View own submissions
  • Update own submissions
  • Delete own submissions
  • Administer webform & submissions
  • Test webform
  • Access webform configuration

Multistep form

  • Forms can be broken up into multiple pages using a progress bar. Authenticated users can save drafts and/or have their changes automatically saved as they progress through a long form.
  • Multistep form features include:
  • Customizable progress bar
  • Customizable previous and next button labels and styles
  • Saving drafts between steps
