Version 2.6 Release Notes - March 17, 2021

  • #750: A new Events Calendar block is available for displaying a traditional monthly calendar display of events.
  • #904: Newly created Timeline Feature pages will now have a URL path automatically generated for them based on the menu link title or page title. Previously the content editor was required to input a URL path manually.
  • #981: Fixed an issue on some sites where a redundant sub-tab on the content dashboard called "Overview" was displayed. This tab was identical to "All Content" as has been removed.
  • #1017: Jump link anchor names for jump link menus are now based on the title of the heading they link to. For example, "/my/page#My-First-Heading" and "/my/page#Some-Other-Heading". Previously they would be labeled "#block-1" and "#block-2". This creates more human-readable and shareable links.
  • #1024: Existing and newly added CSS Injector rules are now applied to your site's front-end theme only by default. Previously, site admins would have to manually select the front-end theme. This prevents your CSS rules from applying to your admin theme, which is typically not desired. Existing rules that were specifically targeting the admin theme are unaffected by this change.
  • #1026: Fixed an issue where the block type label was not displayed in the custom reusable block library. Now the correct block type (e.g. Accordion, Image, Billboard) are displayed.
  • #1036 and #1037: Added an Events Archive Years List block and improved the visual styling of the existing News Archive Years List block. These blocks can be used to help visitors browse lists of news and events that took place in past years. See each block's documentation page for example use cases.
  • #1065: A new featured image display option "Browser width (8x1)" is available on Page, News, Event, and Course content types. This new 8x1 aspect ratio outputs a very wide, but short image. When adding or editing a A individual item of content. For example, a page, a news article, and an event are all content items, which correspond to the Page, News, and Event content types, respectively. of these types, use the Featured Image Display field to choose the new option.
  • #1067: Lowered the required minimum time that must pass before a Webform can be submitted. This minimum time rule is a spam prevention technique that was configured too aggressively. A warning message will also now be displayed on some Webform admin pages about forms that are missing a CAPTCHA element. It's important to add CAPTCHA elements to all webforms that can be submitted by unauthenticated visitors.
  • #1074: Fixed an issue where the block padding override settings on layout section configuration forms was not working. This option allows site builders to control the padding added between blocks in a section.
  • #1087: Pages can now be scheduled to be published at a future date and time automatically. This feature was already available for News and Events. Expand the new "Scheduling options" section in the right sidebar of the page edit screen to utilize this feature.
  • #1101: The width of the drop-down select menus for various admin forms has been increased to improve user experience. For example, the "Featured Image Display" select menu is now much wider.
