Version 2.8 Release Notes - May 20, 2021

  • #536: Alerts will no longer appear in site search results. Additionally, site admins can optionally disable the detail page and search results for Courses, People, and Resource Links. Some sites don't need the detail pages for these content types as they only display them in simple content listing blocks without links.
  • #594: A notice is now displayed at the top of some administrative Webform interfaces to warn about collecting sensitive information.
  • #625: Improved styling for pages if they are printed. The print styles hide menus, breadcrumbs, sidebar menus, the footer, and everything in the header except for the site name and site logo. Accordions are also all expanded.
  • #1006: Fixed a styling issue with the main menu and header when the browser width was at one specific width.
  • #1044: All blocks now have an option to link the block title to another page on your website.
  • #1056: When importing courses by subject and catalog number, the subject is no longer case sensitive (e.g. COS 126 and cos 126 will both work). This also applies to manually specified courses in the course offerings list block.
  • #1077: The Image Block now supports the ability to hide the image caption and to link the image to another page on your site.
  • #1095: Site builders can now manage Layout Builder Styles and CKEditor Styles which supplement CSS Injector to provide a structured approach for applying reusable styles for your page layouts and text. Usage of these features is restricted to those with the "CSS Manager" role. Reach out to WDS to have this role added to your account on your site.
  • #1114: Fixed issue where using content filters on a calendar block caused the browser to jump to a higher scroll position.
  • #1124: Site admins can now manually clear the website cache. Note that caches are typically automatically cleared as needed. Manually clearing is rarely needed, but can sometimes serve as a quick resolution to a caching issue on the platform.
  • #1125: Importing courses by specifying a list of subject and catalog numbers is now much faster.
  • #1128: Upgraded to Drupal 9. There are no significant user facing changes.
